We are not Jesus. No we are not, but that has no relevance. Jesus gave us an example of how to pray. Matt 6:9 Our Father which art in heaven........... And you suggest God is "pure abstraction" = Idea or event. I wouldn't tell Jesus that ha.

As for Christianity understands its Bible - I'll just say here, that's why I agreed with the "Solo" subject. I'm still coming to grips with the point you make here.

God,,,,,, - John 14:9 Words to the effect - Jesus says, if you have seen me, you have seen the Father. And other verses Jesus says along the lines of, if you don't believe me, believe the works that I do as the Father in me, he does these works, so this shows some aspects of the Father as well. How does God do it - His Spirit the Holy Spirit.
At the beginning of this thread I covered, God is a Spirit, based on what Jesus says, seen me seen the Father, so one ?Might? say, God has a Spiritual body as there are fleshly bodies and Spiritual bodies?
John 1:1 says God is the word and 1 John 1:5 God is Light and this gets backed up in Rev as we have no need for the sun and moon as God is the light and the Son is the light shining thereof. And if you look in Gen, we had light before we had the sun and moon, (but I would get cut up on the later here).

So God is a Spirit (the Holy Spirit) The Word which everything come about by and hinges on it (your eternal life as well) and light. We read a lot about his hands and fingers etc, so maybe that supports him having a Spiritual Body, but I think you will be forgiven for not knowing that for sure. BUT, guess what - all those aspects of God are REAL.
Not something of ones imagination, mind etc.
