Only illegal if they were obtained without the other person knowing, but I doubt they are relying on phonecalls.
The mention of phonecalls in brand new info to me, they are not mentioned in the writ of summons so i'm guessing that they are not being used as evidence, just confirm that talks happened.
Things have changed over the months, a while back it was mentioned that kdr would never have talked to mzn, and mzn holders were crazy to think that they might be in with a chance, funny where we are today when we can both agree that talks happened. What the outcome is going to be I don't know as of yet but have some ideas.
