Just a point in a casual read. Snaffles wrote on thread kick off ...
"Looking at China - the recent announcement regarding this project gave a resource estimate of 40.5 billion cubic metres! This is equivalent to 1281 PJ (1PJ = 31.6 cubic metres gas). This resource alone starts to puts Molopo in the same league as the bigger players - bigger players that are trading at many multiples MPO's market cap!" ...
When I went to school we measured energy in dyno-power, next came horse-power then btu and now all this weird shyt of calories and joules. The calcs from billion cubic metres to PJ are correct, given a low 31.6 MJ/M3 calorific value: however the "(1PJ = 31.6 cubic metre gas)" is a spoonerism, I imagine it's meant to be ... 1 cubic metre = 31.6 MJ.
Seems like shyt gas, decateur - good stuff runs 39 (stripped) to 44 MJ/M3. Sorry for the intrusion, but it may help someone. I get pis$ed every time a particular uranium junkie put's up the energy values for wood/oil/coal etc in the tag and compares it with U. No doubt the figures could be qualified, but so highly qualified to become meaningless from a technical standpoint. So you guys are paying for it ! Apologies.
Oh for the days of mmbtuph or tcfpcm - not.
Cheers and good luck 2O2
PS Trade, we love you - but don't come back - till we've settled with Zug.
