Its all very well to anns the 5 dearest most expensive rubys in the world but is that a true reflection of these two rubys?
I think some people are getting way ahead of themselves IMO.

Color is the most significant factor affecting a ruby’s value. The finest ruby has a pure, vibrant red to slightly purplish red color. As the color becomes too orangey or more purplish, the ruby moves down the quality scale.
Gemfields sold high-quality rubies for an average $689 a carat, dwarfing the $66 a carat for comparable emeralds.
