I go along with much of what you said dub.
I am now 57 and remember a different Australia.
Before the economic bean counters came to the fore.
Before political correctness took over.
Before there was a rule and regulation governing all aspects of life in the name of protecting us from ourselves.
When life was slower and people actually had time to care about each other because we were not primarily seen as economic units in corporate Australia.
I am not saying everything was better forty years ago but rather we have lost a lot of what was best in those days and replaced it with a cynical emptyness.
