hi shares2, the difference is that INL has something concrete now which people can put a value on (ie shipments of zinc concentrate)... the speccies that fly high in general do so based on peoples imagination, not on actual facts. IMO the market is going somewhat crazy and people have unrealistic expecations about the sorts of gains they can make (well at least within the time periods that we are seeing). Eventually a stock has to make returns other than capital gains, or it will wind up being worthless... the Dot com bubble is a good example of this.... if you have a speccie that has reached some arbitrary high price early in its lifetime, but it will be a further 5 or 10 years before it actually generates any income, do you think it will maintain that high price for the full 5 to 10 years??

The ironic thing is though that INL has it's speccie side too! Being the Intec process... It has been proven at a demo scale, but still needs to get over the next hurdle of being workable in a comercial sized plant.... That next hurdle should hopefully be erected some time this year, with commisioning sometime in 2008 from memory. IMO If Intec gets over that hurdle, that is when the REAL value in the company will start to be recognised :) IMO the irony is that the market doesn't seem to have put much value at all on this speccie side of the business (to be fair it is probably rating it at about 5c/share).

Before the Polymetals JV INL was trading at 5c.... on the announcement of the JV it doubled... on the commencement of production of zinc concentrate it doubled once more. So it would seem that 3/4 of the sp could be put down to the JV with polymetals... Even though there have been significant advances in the Intec process during the same period, these advancements don't appear to have had any effect on the SP. This is the reason I think that the market in general is basically ignorant of INL's core value.
