re: uec - record 2 year high - bloke /grant? For what it is worth, I was speaking to my IT specialist the other day about networks, etc. At work we have been experiencing slow network speeds and this varies depending on number of people using internet at certain times. Telstra is our current service provider, however my colleague informed me that are currently looking at switching to UEC as their broadband speed is 5 times faster than Telstra. They are not happy with Telstra as they are being very difficult in providing good customer service. I work for a very large corporate company where up until last year Telstra was our only service provider for our phones, lan lines, mobile, network, etc This has changed and we have been gradually moving our mobile phones with Optus. And it looks like we might move to UEC in a couple of months. Telstra have been very difficult of late and refused to provide certain tasks our company requests as part of the service. Companies are realising they have a choice now with product, service and price. The company I work for also provide solutions for Telstra where we tender for certain projects. These tenders have been drastically reduced and therefore we had to retrench staff. So whilst I do not hold UEC I will be keeping an eye on them as my colleagues reckons its good buying at these prices even though the shares have more than doubled. He implied no-one can match UEC broadband as it is the best in the industry and more companies will move to UEC because companies need faster network speeds to access information quickly and efficiently by staff.
