Economic geologist Brent Cook has described what majors are looking for in a JV: (message to this effect) Majors are not looking for a 35,000 - 50,000 Oz /year deposit, they are looking for several hundred thousand Oz's per year; they are looking for good margins; and they are looking for future exploration potential. Whether we end up in this particular JV, it's a vote of confidence to even be in discussions IMHO.

The audio also has some interesting commentary on the outlook of gold resulting from declining economic discoveries.

I'm planning to summarise the current OGX situation in the next few days (as I see it) and will post it after we find about the potential JV (positive or negative). Will try to stick to facts and evidence ...as opposed to rhetoric and assertion.

Thanks SJB. This has been a confusing saga with CR overlaid with this JV possibility causing a long delay before we even trade again. The fact that the CR is not underwritten and has no minimum has also left things a shade uncertain in my view.

In this context I have really appreciated your efforts (and others) to clarify the situation in a way that the BOD has failed to do. I think when HC is used for that purpose it is at its best.

Having said that, I also think a bit of frustration from posters is not surprising.
