Islam is a perfect example of what happens when a radical right or left influence the majority and get into power, Less freedom and you cant oppose without fear of consequences. The middle east countries such as Iran and Afghanistan in the 60/70s used to be have a lot of freedom in the fact that noone wore a burka and people went to uni and down to beach, not so much now. Its simple to run a society yet some people lean far left or far right, just lock up criminals and keep your own opinions to yourself ; then everyone lives a peaceful life.
