    Alan ... the idea is to DISCOURAGE original IPO stock holders from selling

    FACT... IF they stayed "loyal" & didnt sell, no one could buy in late & take advantage of the opportunity.

    Hence ... they are called a "loyalty" option bonus issue. The'disloyal' sellers lose the privilege & new buyers gain it.

    Semms fair to me ;-))
