Latham's behaviour is precisely why he failed as Labor leader and the electorate told him so.
He reminds me of a firecracker on Chinese New Year - a set of uncontrolled mini explosions.
To date Rudd has cleverly returned most of Howard's wedge grenades and our PM has looked decidely nervous about picking them up at times.
