    Have a bit of a read of this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Future_value

    In theory when a stock pays out a dividend it reduces the value of the company - obviously.

    All we are doing is comparing the value of ZFX to the value of BHP with this dividend component take out and surprise surprise they are equal in value.
