What if a 75MM thick Edencrete driveway could have been done for the same usable life as the 1974 100mm thick driveway ? At that stage 100mm was the norm for driveways (unchanged now, a proven thickness). 75mm would leave one open for litigation ( a truck backed up to unload furniture and cracked the slab. First thing would be said "its only 75mm thick"). Unless you had an engineer design. Then it would be a cost per use for the engineering. Even without the engineering cost, the edencrete dosage would have to be less than 1.2 gal per cubic yard to be economical (saying that the purchase price of $25US was available in Perth) using Perth prices.
The post was to highlight that there are areas that edencrete does not provide an advantage that would warrant its use in that situation. I have said it before "there are many uses for edencrete where the benefits are there to be utilized". I can see the advantages of edencrete better than most on this forum and I would be on of the first to be a user. There are many situations that I would never use it.
