Now you say that 1980s style inflation was great for PMs. Unhappily,as is so frequently the case with your statements the facts (ugley word fact) don't support what you say.
Gold was $594 at the beginning of 1980 and at the end of the decade was $401. Hardly wet dream material for any self respecting GoldBug.
