Maybe you should ask Mummy how much it was. in January 1980 Gold hit a high of US$875/Oz, so you're only out by $300. Interesting that gold shares only peaked later in the year, when gold was on way down. South African gold share Asa soared 4000% on a yearearlier. DRD went from 50¢ to $100, ERPM from 25c to about $75.
In early 1986 I bought GMK for 27c. In August 1987 they hit $45.
