Yes. By norms, I mean they didn't vilify their opponents. Obama was a temperate, considerate gentleman fitting of the highest office of the most powerful nation in the word and even despite the sins of past US administrations: Obama, Bush (Jr), Clinton, Bush (Sr) none brought the office of the president into disrepute (if you exclude Monica) as I believe Chump is doing now, tweeting away the dignity and the rights of all people living in 7 countries of his choosing. The people in these countries don't deserve this level of hatred and disrespect (maybe some of their leaders might but that's also debatable). Even George Bush junior who often used a bit of comedic relief to hide his obvious lack of intellect was not one to use the politics of intolerance and hate even though he had the very difficult job of guiding his nation through one of the most brazen and horrific attacks in its history, the attack on the twin towers. He steadied the ship and even against this very tense backdrop there was little intolerance shown towards Muslims in his country (well no revenge attacks of note), as most thinking people could understand and make the distinction between deranged terrorists and people who just want to live peacefully following their faith.

Should I write something about gold now? OK, it's going to go through the roof or maybe not. Esh
