Got burned with perhaps his first blind punt on on the stock market. In at 40-50c on the expectation of a $25b country-maker after reading The Australian one morning. Then never had the gumption to sell out and move on (probably no where to go) when the unexpected reality of the exploration market kicked in.
Now that remaining parcel is the albatross around his neck, a Commsec account reminding him of his folly, day in, day out, with an exact negative amount and percentage figure.
"Yap. Yap. Yap." (Translation: "How could I be so stupid?")
Chin up, lil' feller. And hang in there. Watch that weighty sea-bird turn into a tasty Scooby snack.
