Of course, I know nothing about politics and energy. Do I need to know about politics? What I do know is that distribution was privatised and now we are supporting a whole bunch of additional retailers all needing to make a profit - with their bloody sales people trying to con the masses for market share. Plus the Indian Call Centres harassing anybody at all hours for the past 10 years. Main reason why the cost is so high.
In my locality, anyone talking about Uranium gets thrown out of town and they're all Greenies here.
As for tidal energy... how much will we be generating in the coming years? Pinning hopes on advances in battery storage is wishful thinking.
