Hey Upstart,
Hope you and your family is good. I read your daughter just started school.
Tears? And I mean you not her
Fair enough Up. You're a good dude and have class and a solid mind and creativity.
Good on you for leaving without fuss.
Real masters in any discipline display that decency to their fellow humans - and until that is learnt then there is always a piece missing from their work.
I won't be following you into your chosen next play though I wish you well.
I'm happy here with my position. Of course I am.
I have had a rare chance to spend several hours with Anthony Tse and getting to know him and the sector. He took time to really explain the nitty gritty of the operation of hard rock plants, brine plants and his general approach to his job. Results. Considered plans. Hire the best.
He also showed genuine humanity, something that sort of disappears easily when large amounts of money get involved.
He spent the first while asking me about myself - which I wasn't expecting at all.
We had a few things in common but what came across was that I could see how well he would perform 1 on 1 in negotiations.
Just out of curiosity.
There might be an interesting chart to post one day.
The chart the day the price went down to 30c on November 9.
I'd like to see that. What TA was in play that day that would have seen anyone buy this stock?
And yet people did ( I did too) because they knew it was a good stock that was getting trashed
and then had 100% returns in 7 weeks.
I'm all in here. I take it slow with the research and that's where I put the hours in. Charts for me are not the buy-sell decision. That is always the information at hand.
When I leave here in a few years it will be to buy another house and put aside enough cash to live off comfortably. and leave the markets entirely. I'm not that greedy or addicted to this stuff.
That will be plenty for me and there are much better things to do than think about money 24/7.
The story was and is still perfect for me here. Right time, right place, right assets. oh and right management. Probably the most important. With that in place you know they will always bounce back from any difficulties. I'd probably sell if Anthony Tse left. Luckily I got the picture that he was in for the long haul.
I'm sort of the reverse to you. I'm only holding GXY. But it is a lot of GXY.
The trend I'm following is the lithium bull market and backing the front-runner.
However, I've decided I'll get one more stock this year with some rainy day savings and again get a big position then leave that to grow.
That's enough for me. One new one per year for the next few years.
Don't know how you guys manage staying on top of the reading with dozens of stocks in your account.
Best of luck Upstart. Hope to see you back in here again soon.
Cheers
