Yes I mentioned the sovereign risk, not a small risk in fact, the highest in the world.

I said this on my moderated post above:
"I have done my research. If the middle tenement has been included then AVZ should have a huge world class resource there. I am not sure if it would principally a tin or lithium play. They are both very good. A tin resource is even better than lithium in my eyes. However I would still not buy it as a long term investment stock because of the extremely high sovereign risk. It could be fit into your risk limits but not mine."

Yes the AVZ management is promoting the resources as lithium play but it is my opinion after my research that it is a principally tin play. I said what I think about a tin play.

It not about the asset for me at this point. The world class asset is there. It is the issue of extreme high sovereign country/region risk.

This the first class conflict zone. It is the area the highest number of people killed after the WW2. About 6 million people are killed in the are so far from 1994 which was 5m of that killed in from 1994 to 2003.

The armed groups are still active all around the place including Manono mine area. Katanga area where Manono mine is located has very limited army presence (see the graphic below). Manono mine area has non.

The interactive maps show that there is no Congolese army (FARDC) presence in Manono area while showing the existence of armed groups so called rebels. The main mineral of the conflict is the gold, coltan is the byproduct btw. And tin is the another important part of the conflict but so much.

You can watch a lot of recent and old videos about the DRC conflict on YouTube.

    You can check it yourself by using these maps;

Or, this link will take you directly to the map: (Click here)

Or you can see from the snapshots I've taken from the maps here. (Needs a little bit french translation.

You can also read the document from the same researc group for more details (by using Manono word search in pdf file).

Analysis of the interactive map of artisanal mining areas in eastern DR Congo 2015 update

"Also in the former Katanga province, Mai-Mai groups persisted in 2015, although their activity has
decreased. The Mai-Mai group Kata Katanga (or Bakata Katanga), striving since 2012 for the secession
of Katanga, has caused severe insecurity in the past, but few incidents involving this group have been
    reported throughout 2015.

Other armed group activity in Central Katanga (Manono, Pweto, Malemba Nkulu, Mitwaba) has also
decreased in 2015. Several armed group factions, including Kata Katanga and Mai-Mai led by Gédéon
have rendered themselves to the FARDC. Nevertheless, Mai-Mai groups were still present in Central
Katanga, and incidents were reported in Mitwaba and Malemba Nkulu."

(Pas de presence armee constatee: "No army presence" I guess )
