Nucular, had they done a side tract, they would have to pull back about 5000feet to get a kick off point, no matter how, or what, they did was going to cost big $$$$. Had they gone for the side tract they may not of had the casing, to case the hole with. This is what happens when new kids play with things they know nothing about. Back in my drilling days we loved it when one like this came along. No rig moves, just sit back and watch the money roll in.
