I think the point is that they have had to admit that a two-stage approach to purchase authorisation - and perhaps a more wary consumer base - means that their numbers won't expand as quickly. I think it's fair enough that they don't expand all guns blazing based on the same metrics that they were producing before they had to adapt and accept a more conservative growth rate (possibly), let's see how they go now that they have made their big admission of the issues.
I would quite like to see MBE produce a much more robust explanation of the issues, no more hiding behind ambiguous terminology and assuming that people don't know what's going on. It might help their credibility
