I just think that's a really dangerous approach. In my very non-expert opinion, the only way to get taken over is if you are genuinely progressing towards production. That way the suitor can see that you have a genuine business case/timeline and would choose the right moment to jump in. You can't possibly predict which point is the right point for a suitor to TO you. Some suitors are more risk adverse, some less so.
