A couple of interesting replies, I agree about a fortnight being too long away to really know. But it will leave the most sour taste ever, because me (being the absolute worst investor in the world) sold a bunch of my YOW shares to get some liquidity, just before they went up like 20% :-| So if I then put that money into SXY and I could have gotten them cheaper I'll be furious with my own ineptitude.
[I actually think 5% is a bit rough, pretty sure I had a 12% offer from a company once]
The only reason I asked about sentiment this early is that I was wondering if a more experienced mug punter than myself would know if generally a company when offering shares depreciates the price of the existing pool (as perceived by the market) and so was likely not to rise, or even to fall due to the offering.
Again, stupid question but regarding the first point (A), we don't get 5% off $0.315 do we? (unless that is the closing period price) The only reason I ask is that 'and' after the semi-colon.
Cheers
