The factor precipitating the recent slump - share price drop in China - was not the earth shaking change of world investment sentiment news that some seemed to take on.
However the reality check was a positive for markets.
Reducing any excessive exuberance.
Compared to gains in recent months the drop in world indexes was relatively benign.
Hopefully - but not certainly - markets are back in business already with the present bounce back.
Could be a "dead cat" bounce?
Not likely.
Anvil finished at its third highest ever closing price on the TSX last night.
$14.57 Australian.
One would expect an increase in Anvil share price on ASX today - a jump in share price of closer to $1.00.
Watch for an opening surge.
