With all due respect, do you really believe the Tanzanian government is going to fund this project? The GDP of Tanzania is all of $50 billion which incidentally is a third of the size of the market cap of CBA! IMO there would be some more important things that need addressing in country such as food, housing and education rather than funding a mine where the greatest benefit goes to shareholders in Australia. I couldn't imagine it's an effective method of job creation in terms of dollars spent either.
In saying this why would they fund this project over MNS, WKT, KNL or BKT?
IMO I'm afraid to say you're just going to have to rely on shareholders and equity raisings as there will be no bank finance available as there hasn't been all the way along here until there some visibility to the sector which will only occur when a company finally gets to production which of course will be Syrah.
Btw @Graphene I'm happy with my holding in WKT since you asked. It's traded up since the consolidation and has traded extremely well since this weeks release conversely to VRC which has of course fallen from 7 to 4 since the PFS was released.
I'm glad you brought this up as it is a good example of what "tidying up" the capital structure can do. As I've mentioned before I lived in America and the institutions there IMO are very reluctant to buy "penny stocks". I think VRC trading at 4 cents and with nearly 1.3 billion shares and options on issue prior to the imminent capital raise should look at the virtues of a consolidation to become more "institutional calibre". I wonder if Trevor got this type of feedback on the roadshow or are they just sitting back waiting for the CR?
Using WKT as a successful case study it now has 116 million shares on issue. Perhaps a 10 for 1 consolidation bringing it back to approximately 130 million shares and options (excluding any other short term CR) would work?
