When did you last live in nz or visit ? 1980?
I have lived on and off in both countries and the uk in the last 15 years and it that time NZ has come a long way .
To me it's just another state with a different accent . In fact the net migration back to nz as reversed as of late .
As for quality of life ? What is this comparison and what is the values you base this assumption on?
Crime ? Beaches ? Fishing ? Wages ? House prices ?
As for never getting out of recession? What are you on about there? NZ was recognised has having a rock star economy in the past few years . It's been booming while Australia has been going along at snail pace.
