What are your choices if you prefer not to buy at the moment? Remain a spectator and watch others make the $$$ in super profits. Buy after THE announcement and pay a much higher price (while some/many are selling and banking profits)? Sorry to hear you report you had a horrible Christmas because of APG. If you find the temperature too hot in the kitchen, perhaps managed funds or fixed term deposits are more suitable to your investment profile. I'm just trying to help you rather than being critical. Over my many years as an adviser (now retired) I stressed to clients the importance of staying within their comfort zone as the worry associated with being outside the level of comfort was not worth the worry no matter how big the profits (and/or losses).
