Only a fool would base an argument on the fact that the average rainfall for the south west in 1913, 1940, 1969 and 1994 averaged about 450mm but in 2005 averaged 725mm, therefore rainfall for the region has increased by 61%. You don't have to be very bright to realise that such manipulation of REAL data doesn't represent the true picture. YET you fall for the same manipulation of the same data that provides a different answer.
