Yes, your argument is dodgy. It isn't the rainfall in individual years, it's the cumulative pattern. The data shows a 15-20% rainfall reduction for southwest WA since the early 1970s. That is why the dams have been at low levels for so long and the aquifer levels have been falling. Science is based on a wide range of evidence pointing to a similar conclusion. You seem to use selected data that agrees with your opinion, and ignore that which does not.
