I know MOD a little(as I once owned Hana Mining, if somebody know(ed)(which was basically I'd say the "mother of these(Botswana)plays")),
but I think it's still a little pear/apple comparison.

I've seen MODs last "study",
which makes me guess their project (at that point(ex all the further drilling upside, etc))isn't a "no brainer", but may could be viable.
but VAL, in my opinion, MAY could be a whole other level.
better, stronger.

"rather" hard to compare them(directly) iMo, as their circumstances(stage of development alone) are pretty different
