To get into the mind of a mid/long term LYC holder you need to framing the question as 'why was it ever so undervalued' instead of 'why is it going up so much'.
If you follow the journey it was no small feat to get where they are today. Just look at what happened with Molycorp. Japan (JARE) know it's not easy to just spin up an operation of this size, and they have way too much riding on Lynas' non-Chinese supply to let them fall anytime soon unless we suffer truly exceptional circumstances.
