Locking in 18% of LPD major shareholders (pre bid) is a very shrewd move imo
I gather there is a great deal of ego behind the animosity between the 2 companies but at the end of the day $$$ will speak loudest.
I see very emotional lpd shareholders making statements about "cold dead hands"/"over my dead body" etc
Looks to be lots of personal loyalty at play (which is admirable) but sound investment or business decisions shouldn't be made on this basis imho
I don't see that LPD has the funding to defend itself for very long. They will have patent lawyers on the go in the Supreme Court, they are going to need more advice to defend the TO (I assume they will choose to defend). All these silks are expensive. With less than $1m in the tin there isn't anything left to advance/build any pilot facilities and they already have 1.75 bn shares on issue, another highly dilutive raising cant be in their s/h best interests?
What happens if LIT gains acceptances for another 15-20% ? They will have 30-40% of LPD and that is enough for control. It's not a big stretch from the 18% they have already secured
