So then you start thinking, oh crap, Wangle need POP's in all major cities throughout the world.... What's the cost of doing this? Do they have to have this in place before they can get a chip put into a vendors device? How much money will that cost and what guarantee is there that they are going to be able to generate customers in that city/locale?

Isn't there someone on here that was having a really bad experience with the Wangle app and they are located only across the ditch in NZ? It's a 3hour flight, same distance to Perth... International users are going to have huge issues connecting unless there is a POP nearby... So how many POP's do they need to cover USA? South America? Europe? Africa? Central and South-east Asia?

That's why you do the app launch first region by region. Doing a simultaneous worldwide release would be stupid. Are you just now starting to realise the scope of this thing if it were to go world wide?
