I hope you all sold on the basis of the US sharetip. Spruiker is a pretty good name and ramp is another. I do like the line about having worked at a classified weapons facility. The guy is clever enough to feed the line as though it is "for clients only" but actually drops enough detail for people to identify the companies involved from his "advert". If the price has really responded to that tip, then you can bet that the spruiker has been taking his profits. He named Andy White as CEO. A google soon shows that Andy White is/was in charge of nuclear activity at GE Energy (http://www.gepower.com/about/press/en/2004_press/102704.htm). You do not even have to know anything about Silex to go from that (ie GE) to identify Silex as the target of the "tip".

Would the price have responded so dramatically to the spruiker with $4.5M exchanged on the ASX today. BTW the spruiker seems to be using Yahoo for his prices. Yahoo quotes US$6.00 for SILXY on 9 March and up 10% but the ADRs were issued at five ordinaries to one ADR and all other sites quoting the ADRs give US$28.71 for SILXY and up 4.86% which does not match five times $6. I would look for some news from GE or Translucent rather than the ramp.
