It's not that I am necessarily that sure about it, but what else could it be? For how much longer could Celgene possibly continue running the ruler over MSB? Two years is quite a protracted due diligence period, by any measure.
Besides, wherever did you come to the view that any partnership deal would suddenly make MSB investment grade in my eyes?
Companies whose ongoing existence owes itself to the kindness of strangers do not fit my definition of investment grade.
