Coles lost 4% same store sales this result. Aldi is just treading water regardless of the best intentions of diatribe from our German sympathiser-ggtrain.
basically it means that Woolies will be in the range of 3 to 4% same store sales.
OK you then may say, you then have price discounting and food deflation to consider.
not at all- Coles were discounting to match Woolies certainly up to the reporting period-31/12/16.
food deflation was only 0.9% anyway.
ps- it means that WOW will leap 10% to 15% on the day of results and keep going up with broker upgrades.
this is a money for jam scenario playing out on a colossal scale, as analysts are too stupid to see past their noses, let alone the forest for the trees.
