It was pointed out to me last week that the 23 million that changed hands on Thursday was almost exactly the same number as the amount of shorts still in circulation from 2015 when they was purchased around the $3.50 mark.

Nice earner for someone if that's the case.

Maybe the purchases on Friday was just left over from the day before where more was purchased in speculation of SGH demise.

Anyway - after about 12:30 p.m the main action was over and it was mostly only bots doing stuff. There was a real purchase of at least 250,000 for 17.5c after the market closed on Friday.

I guess those people with access to shorts information will be able to confirm or otherwise.

I'm hoping these shorts have now closed - they've been like an albatross round our neck.

Because if, indeed, they have I guess the money people will now be keen for the SP to recover so they can make more on the way back up.
