    Micko13 –

The 1st few paras. of this post IMO explain in more detail the responses you got earlier from Whatsnext & aclemence.

Your screenshot, note, was taken @ 4.03pm. Your 1 green boxed Buyer Line & your 3 green boxed Seller Lines were representing the bids by brokers – between THEMSELVES – conducting what your broker will confirm to you – if you phone them - as auction “bids & offers”.
If you took a screen shot 5 minutes later - @ 4.08pm – it would be highly likely that the Surplus Volume by then would have changed again, because of the auctioning activity going on between the brokers in that 5 minutes.
Even yet again this Surp. Vol. might have changed by 4.10.28pm, the time the last 16 trades (667 – 651) all took place.
If you refer to any other small-cap mining stock - that has had a large trading volume during the day - you may also see - @ 4.03pm – on the Market Depth page – similar bids & offers – that have been made after 4.00pm – the time when you & I are stopped from having a placed order executed in the 10 minutes after 4pm.
i.e. the broker will take your order but most likely not execute it until the start of trading the next day.
Note too - that all such "Auction" trades -that take place after 4pm - are ALWAYS @ 4.10.xx pm.

Note: If you have a look at the Course of Sales page – after clicking on the “All trades” tab @ the r.h. side of the line where the sub-heading Course of Sales is shown – and scroll down to the opening trades in the 10 secs between 10.02.06am & 10.02.16am you’ll find that the # of trades in that period were 239, for 188m shares.
(To determine this info you can “Copy” a selected range of trades - @ a specified time – from Commsec’s “All Trades” page into a blank Excel spreadsheet – if you know what that is!! – and there easily do a sort on the Volume col.)
Obviously SOME of those early 239 trades were on behalf of Mums & Dads who’d been in the 0.004 buy queue the day or days before – but in my estimation a lot of the later time trades @ that price would have been executed by the “Professional” DT’s (Day Traders).
1 trade example - by a DT - could have been (toward the end of that 10-second trading period) :
    A buy @ 10.02.16am (1 of 3 trades @ that time) : 2,000,000 @ $0.004c = $8,000
    A sell of these 2m @ 10.16.54am @ $0.0045c = $9,000
But you’ll notice that all the trades that took place @ the $0.0045c level were CXXT trades – trades that only Commsec & other major online brokers can execute on behalf of their clients – if such price matches a buyer’s & seller’s bid/offer.
A nice cool profit eh, if you’re prepared to take the risk of seeing a Prof. DT placing a huge Sell order then, that might push down the SP to possibly $0.003c !!

A Mum & Dad trader – as I understand it – cannot place an order to buy or sell @ the mid-point of the price range between the ordinary lower & the next higher price level.
e.g. the price at which the standard trader can trade in a stock, below 10c = an interval of $0.001c. Above 10c, up to a $ - = $0.005c
If you or any other poster wants to take advantage of trading at such a mid-point level – you can gain experience in this activity by executing more than 8 trades a month – with Commsec that is - which then gives you entitlement – in that month after you’ve done the 8th trade – to access, for free, their CommsecIRESS Trading Platform – which will show you the market depth of the buyers & sellers bids/offers at such mid-point prices i.e. on the “CHI-X” exchange, which is not available on Commsec if you have no entitlement to the IRESS platform. Once you’ve seen this “CXA” bid-offer data – which is there all day – and really “busy” at all price levels – if I was you I’d start off on preferably a paper-trade basis, and see how you go.

FYI – I hold no CAD @ the moment - I sold out at 0.004 some weeks ago.
It’s taken me more than an hour to compile this post – so I trust it will be of help to you & other presumed “amateurs” in this game, as you appear to be – as indicated by your post.
(No offence taken I hope – just all IMO).
I’ve posted a number of messages on BGS & 88E – in similar vein to this one – being a retired accountant who knows SFA about lithium geology, but quite a bit on Tech. Analysis from my charting package I’ve used for 17+ years. TG.
