Well end of march we will see some big results, i have sold off all my other stocks and ready to go all in, this looks like a winner however you look at it.
hopefully we can see a T/O ot JV happening with this result.
If you look at JBM, you'll see this is where it is going to head.
GME Resources (GME)
Encouraging column leach tests on nickel laterite
Speculative Buy 0.610
GME has reported the results of column leach tests
representing the nickel laterite profile at the Hepi and Mt
Kilkenny projects located near Murrin Murrin in the north
eastern goldfields of WA. The testwork, undertaken in SGS
Lakefield’s laboratory in Perth, was targeting an average
extraction of 70% over 120 days. Extraction rates of nickel
on three samples tested ranged from 73.2% to 78.4% and for
cobalt the extraction rate ranged from 80.4% to 94.2%.
The results show that the nickel saprolite resources at Hepi
and Mt Kilkenny projects are amenable to heap leach
processing. In each case, slump of the agglomerates column
was minimal over the time period and excellent percolation
rates were maintained over the 120 day period. Acid
consumptions are reported as acceptable for the saprolitic
ore type. Down stream metal recovery testwork is now
proceeding on solutions from the column leach tests.
The indicated and measured resource located at Hepi and
Mt Kilkenny is 16.8 million tonnes averaging 1.30% nickel
and 0.10% cobalt and containing 218,000 tonnes of nickel
17,000 tonnes of cobalt. These resources represent less
than 30% of the defined high grade resources within GME’s
NiWest nickel laterite project. Much of the additional
resource is now known to be similar high grade saprolitic
material which should be suited to heap leaching.
These positive results will be used as key inputs to the current pre-feasibility study scheduled for completion by the
end of March 2007. GME considers that the testwork
provides a strong basis for it to progress to a trial heap leach
in the second half of 2007 followed by a bankable feasibility
study which is expected to commence towards the end of
2007.
Based on the Hepi and Mt Kilkenny resources it is
anticipated that the scale of operation now being considered
will encompass a stand alone acid plant and target
production in the region of 12,500 to 15,000 tonnes per year
of nickel for a minimum ten years.
A major RC drill out program is scheduled for the Mt Kilkenny
and the Eucalyptus projects through to June 2007. In
addition a drilling program will be undertaken at Eucalyptus
to supply core samples for a new round of column test work.
Total resources at the NiWest nickel project are currently
48.76 million tonnes averaging 1.25% nickel and 0.10%
cobalt and containing 609,000 tonnes of nickel and 49,000
tonnes of cobalt.
GME has recently appointed Mr Mick Ryan as Project
Manager for the NiWest nickel project. He has over 20 years
experience in the development of heap leach projects as well
as nickel laterite projects. His experience includes the Telfer
and Red Dome heap leach operations, the Syerston laterite
project in NSW, the Murrin Murrin project and Intec’s
hydrometallurgical process development at Hellyer in
Tasmania.
