    It is a reasonable point @AverageJoe  but I have noticed quite significant and separate commodity price cycles within the resources area. It may not be true diversification in the sense that you cover a range of disparate sectors but I also find that I know my limits and if was buying IT or Tech stocks (for example) I just wouldn't have a clue.  So the compromise is stick with what I know but diversify as much as I can within that sector. I would like to branch out into a new sector but keep coming back to miners and mineral processing operations !!!
