I understand what you are saying and I do believe Milo was totally wrong in what he said and how he put it, but the fact that his clarification of the age of consent was conveniently edited just exposes this as a hit piece.
The age of consent makes it very clear that "young boys" can legally have sex with older men. In his press conference he made it clear where he stands on the issue and as he said, he has runs on the board as far as exposing paedophiles. Milo in is words said that he was expressing a well known fact (his words) within the gay community that older man have sex with younger boys (16 plus). AS you say, that is legal and is not classified as paedophilia. I find it quite sickening to be honest, but I also find older men have sex with 16 or 17 yo girls just as sickening. I have no doubts it is quite prevalent in the gay community for older men to target 16, 17 or 18 yo boys. And as Milo stated in his press conference, he misspoke about saying "young boys" but with the part of him clarifying the age of consent being edited just exposes this for the hit job it is.
I believe him and I think he did well in his press conference. Again, it is pretty piss poor that posters have attacked you for supporting paedophilia.
As I said, I thought Milo was a fairdinkum knob on Bill Maher last week. I don't blame his detractors from attacking him for what he said because it CERTAINLY looks bad. But, considering it had to be edited and such an important part as him clarifying that he supports the age of consent lends me to give him the benefit of the doubt and believe him in that he is very Dark in his humour and generally treads a fine line and i have no doubts the bloke mispoke. As i said, i find it all a bit sick, just like I would an older bloke with a "young girl" who is of consent. Perhaps Milo just outed the gay community with a well known secret.
It was a good press conference and it was pretty much how i thought it would be.
