It's been an epic arm wrestle between c1220 and 1240 - pressure is building - need a close above 1242 alright to give us a pointer north. Gold has been holding strong against a stronger USD and rising equities - could be the canary in the gold mine. We might see a see push toward 1220 again based on USD strength and potential for March rate rise but other factors seem to be counter balancing that for now - if it heads back down towards 1220 good chance to put away a few gold shares.
