    Well that article was insanely biased and inaccurate.
    I guess I shouldn't be surprised the old view of " lets fight the big ugly faceless mining company as they are only up to no good".

    They neglect to address, if its a very "poor" area currently, with the protection of modern day environmental laws, how is building and operating a mine in the area a bad thing? Jobs, training, upskilling, flow on of industry opportunities in the area for support of the mine. New infrastructure for the area bringing better roads, rail, power and water facilities.....all paid for by the mine. No one, or government is going to do that for this "poor" area if there is not industry or job opportunities there...........sheeesh.....sorry, will get off my soap box.

    Just because a mine once upon a time exploited the people and environment because it was poorly regulated....doesn't mean we are currently living in the 1950's and it will happen again!!!

    grrrr.....might go for a walk
