The content of the article was my point exactly when I made the opening post on this thread.
1/ 99% of the population simply dont need this high speed broadband.
It is not "essential" that we all have the speed to get streaming movies and so on.
2/ For those business' and organisations that really do need it, let them get cable or satellite if is is so essential to their business.
As for the poor hot copperite daytraders who sometimes can't get through to their broker occasionally. Take some resposibilty yourselves, get a satellite link as a legitamate business expense.
If you chose to live in a more rural setting ... that's fine, but weigh up the pros & cons of having the relative peace, tranquility and lifestyle V not having the full infrastucture of the big cities...including high speed broadband.
I dont see why the rest of us should have to put in out of the future fund to accommodate this small minority.
But agree with much of what was said about governments wasting huge amounts on other things.
And that is government of all persuations
I think I need to be in total charge.
And I'll occasionally call on ClarkKent for a bit of help and advice.
As well as economic matters, he will be my diplomatic and etiquette adviser.
LOL
Cheers
