the reason why he dosn't want to get the dividend is because he is not dividend delerious.
He probably realises Zinc is going to fall and sees the weakness there.
And he also evidently realises that ZFX will fall 70c once it pays its dividend, if not much more if people are holding on just for the dividend and sell afterwards.
So at best he would be buying for a 30c again which is stuipd.
Invest in 100% safe Australian bonds and you do better then that.
