    Good to have input from someone who works for the carrier. While I agree to a certain extent that unlimited data will eventually be a norm in the future, I just can't see this happening in SEA, India and other developing countries at least for the next few years.

    Also, you can't really compare the market in US/Australia with SEA or India. In Australia, I can afford unlimited plans even if i'm a brick layer or a mechanic. In developing countries, even white collar professionals are finding it difficult to make ends meet these days, let alone paying for data plans (I worked in SEA for many years).

    I also agree that the competition between carriers will determine if they go down that path just to compete with others. That said, how does providing unlimited data solve the main problem which is declining ARPU ? This is why SYT is trying to raise awareness about telcos working together in an ecosystem to compete against the internet giants rather than among themselves.

    Just my humble opinion.
