Anyway here is my take on the MD enthusiasm. As someone who has been involved from the grass roots level is is little wonder he is now elated at the success the company is now enjoying. He also has a lot of interest in how the company goes as he holds a lot of stock. I can't see any problem in this if he does not overstate things and this is the question posed. From my experience most CEO's, manager directors of companies often talk their own companies up, it is usual at annual meetings etc, or when promoting the company. I can't recall a single person being taken to court over this kind of thing but no doubt one day its possible. So far Mr Christaan has not told any lies from what I can see, he has just be doing his job. Lets face it most of the controversial comments being alluded to have been from Twitter tweets and he was certainly not the instigator of the questions posed by shareholders/Twitter account holders. Unless someone has some solid proof this kind of suggestion should never be raised or you could be liable of defamation.
