    Eric,

Cobalt Sulphate is the product battery makers want not Cobalt Metal.

COB has Cobalt @ .084% in Sulphides. Good mined product to process into Cobalt Sulphate.

In the laterite orebodies Cobalt sulphate is produced by treating cobalt oxides with sulphuric acid.

The cobalt comes as a by-product from the slag of the refined Nickel product.

In your calculations, you need to take account of the Cobalt content in the CoSO4. Although Cobalt is a heavier Atom (Atomic Mass 58.9) it only makes up 38% of total mass of Molecule and in addition, 4 off Oxygen Atoms (4 x molecular weight 16) and Sulphur (1 x Molecular weight 32).

So your projected use of cobalt needs to be adjusted to accurately indicate the actual cobalt i.e. multiply by 0.38

ARL and others in KNP zone and CLQ will be producing Cobalt from Laterites. Nickel price needs to increase and find better stability for anything to proceed here. (Except "Cobalt Rich Zone" where 50Mt @ .12% but still oxide process =HPAL = costly)

IMO nickel price will continue to improve which will give viability to ARL KNP orebody.

Nickel processing has long history and strength in Australia, predominantly QLD & WA, and there is significant infrastructure for that to continue when Ni prices firm.

    Hope this helps!
