When issues are rightfully raised and then properly discussed in a civilised/adult manner on a stock forum, in the manner you have done here, it's amazing what progress can be achieved that benefits all readers. Your post is a pleasant departure from the level of debate we have seen take place here - the one's of complete and constant denial about everything to do with this issue.

As a consequence, we have now established....

1. There appears to be some delay in obtaining the agreement for the pipeline construction and it was not merely a "legal caveat", with a coment from the company - "No specific comment on the status of the pipeline construction approval as yet"

2. There is another company - DDI - who has been granted sizeable water rights from the same dam, and this company is not part of some "ancient history" of failed irrigation projects - it is current. There are also other downstream community users of water from the same dam.

3. There are no "exclusive" water rights to the dam - all granted licences are treated equal, as per my previous suggestion

4. The dam levels, from Pedro's contact with DDI, suggests they are slightly lower than normal but should be full within coming weeks - due to wet season rains

5. That DDI has granted SYR access along it's corridor for the pipeline and power lines and that should speed thing up if/when construction licence is granted.

The only questions remaining are

a) the one outlined in the Zitamar article about the repairs - who will undertake/how much the will cost and who pays - as per my original post above Post #:23111666. Pedro14, did you ask DDI about the so called repairs, how costly they are and what/if any part SYR would play in this?

b) when will the pipeline construction approval be granted
